| CULTURE SHOCK |
Culture Shock: When I first came to this country, I was shocked with EVERYTHING, meaning how everyone was dressed, mostly girls, and how girls and boys hnags out together and their parents had no problem, back in my country thats not allowed, or else someone will go to your parents and tell them they seen you hang out with a boy or wear clothes like that, I was shocked, but at the end, I changed myself.

SYMBOLS

Symbols: In my country (Bangladesh) theres a lot of symbols. But, the most number one symbol to eveyone from Bnagladesh is our flag, my flag has a lotting of meaning to it, but since I was little, I always seen the flag as red for blood and green for land, we fought for our country and with this flag it shows we lost a lot of blood but we have our land.

Values: Cricket is one of bangladesh's most valuest sport. This sport as been in my country for century, and it is most popular as well.

| SOCIETY |
Society: Bangladesh's society is a big thing in its country. Bangladesh might look small but the amount of people in the country is redicilous. Since it is over populated most of the people living in this country is so poor, somedays or even weeks they dont even have food to survive.

| CULTURE WAR |
Culture war: Bangladesh been fighting for its culture for centuries. Bangladesh is very different from other cultures thats what makes it specail. Bangladesh fought for its culture and independence so we can have our own country and everything.

| NORMS |
Norms: Not all bangladesh people follow this, but back in the days we had this tradition or some kind of rule to eat with the family together, some people still follows it, and others show they have no time for their family and shows no respect.

| MORES |
Mores: In bangladesh one of the things that were so strick is arrange marriage, even if the girl doesn't agree to it, her parents force it to happen.

| LANGUAGE |
Language: Unlike american language, bangladesh language is a bit harder because it has two alpabet chats, so both in writing and speaking, its a very in common langauge for outsiders.

| IDEAL CULTURE |
Ideal Culture: Some people in Bangladesh defines their culture, calues, beliefs, and norms by dancing, wearing their traditional outfits.

| SUBCULTURE |
Subculture: There are some people in bangladesh that tries to belong in the socitey but they dont fit at all, so if you go to a village like the picture and wear regular clothes as in pant and shirt, you would be considered a outsider.

ReplyDeleteI think that you start of great with assignment by sharing your experiences as it relates to what you learned in the culture chapter. Then you just start telling me a lot about Bangladesh, but little about you.
